DECEMBER 19TH. - PORTRUSH, CO. ANTRIM.
Two fighter aeroplanes had crashed in the sea, but though wreckage was picked up by a motor launch, and oil patches were seen, no survivors could be found. - Rewards, £12 15s..<...
A Dockyard Pontoon
SEPTEMBER 20TH. - WEYMOUTH, DORSET.
A boat had been reported overturned off Portland breakwater, but it was a dockyard pontoon and the life-boat’s help was not needed. - Rewards, £4 7s. 6d..
A Steamer (48)
DECEMBER 30TH. - RHYL, FLINT-SHIRE. A steamer was reported to need help, but could not be found. It was learnt later that another vessel had rescued the crew and taken her in tow. - Rewards, £12 3s.
