AUGUST 18TH. - BEMBRIDGE, ISLE OF WIGHT. Aeroplanes had been reported down in the sea after an air battle, but nothing could be found. - Rewards, £4 13s.

A boat had been reported overturned off Portland breakwater, but it was a dockyard pontoon and the life-boat’s help was not needed. - Rewards, £4 7s. 6d..
DECEMBER 30TH. - RHYL, FLINT-SHIRE. A steamer was reported to need help, but could not be found. It was learnt later that another vessel had rescued the crew and taken her in tow. - Rewards, £12 3s.
