The Hon. George Coiville, deputy chairman of the committee of management of the Institution, died on September igth at the age of 76. For 37 years he had been actively associated with the Lite-boat Service. He was elected a member of the commiitee of management in 1907, and was its deputy chairman for twenty years, from 1923 until his death. He was a younger brother of Trinity House and a member of the Royal Yacht Squadron. He was not only an accomplished yachtsman but a skilled carpenter and boatbuildcr, and in his house in London he built a dinghy which was launched through one of the windows..
