The Sailing Boat, St. Brendon, of Dungarvan

SEPTEMBER 1ST. - HELVICK HEAD, CO. WATERFORD. At 4.45 in the afternoon the sailing boat, St. Brendon, of Dungarvan, was sailing round the Black Rock in Dungarvan harbour. She had five on board. A north-westerly breeze was blowing and the sea was choppy. Her mast broke and she anchored. She was lying only about a hundred feet from the Rock. It was seen from the shore and the motor life-boat H. F. Bailey was launched at 4.55. She towed the boat t o Dungarvan, and arrived back at her station at seven that evening. - Rewards, £4 16s. 6d.
