DOWN. At four in the afternoon a small fishing boat was seen to be aground at Ringley Ridge. A moderate north-westerly breeze was blowing and the sea was calm, but it was thought advisable to send out the motor lifeboat and the Herbert John was launched at five o’clock. She found the fishing boat Edith, of Portrush, with a crew of two. The skipper asked the life-boat to stand by until his boat refloated, and then to tow him clear and set him on his course.
