OCTOBER 19TH. - ABERDEEN. At 8.20 at night information was received from the coastguard that H.M. Minesweeper 1172 was disabled three miles east-south-east of Gregness and in need of help. The harbour tug was not available, and at 9.5 the No. 1 motor life-boat Emma Constance was launched. A moderate south-south-easterly wind was blowing, with a moderately rough sea.
