A south-east wind was blowing, with a moderate sea. The motor life-boat Duke of Connaught, on temporary duty at the station, was launched at 5.30 and found the motor launch Sybilla, of Castlebay, with a crew of three. They had been fishing for lobsters, but had been disabled two miles west-south-west of Greanhead, and were drifting out to sea without sails or oars.
