The Motor Coble Humility

APRIL 5TH. - NEWBIGGIN, NORTHUMBERLAND.

At about 1.20 P.M. the coastguard reported that the motor coble Humility, of Newbiggin, was overdue. She had a crew of three. A strong westerly wind was blowing, with a rough sea. The motor life-boat Augustus and Laura was launched at 1.51 P.M. and an hour later found the coble five and a half miles N.E. of Newbiggin Point. Her engine had broken down.

The life-boat towed her in, arriving at 4.35 P.M. - Rewards, £10 6s. 6d..
