DOWN. At 1.15 in the morning the Bangor coastguard telephoned that they had learned from the Ballyholme Hotel that a yacht was in distress in Ballyholme Bay. She was the Kingfisher of Bangor, with two people on board. The night was dark with heavy rain, and a moderate N.E. wind was blowing with a very heavy sea. The motor life-boat Civil Service No. 5 put out at 1.35, reached the Kingfisher at 2.35 A.M., rescued the two people on board, and arrived back at her station at 4 A.M. - Rewards, £9 7s. 6d..
