AUGUST 27TH. - PORTHDINLLAEN, CAERNARVONSHIRE. At 12.16 P.M. the coastguard reported that a small rowing boat was in difficulties off Porthdinllaen Point.
A moderately strong S.W. wind was blowing, with a rough sea. The motor life-boat M.O.Y.E. was launched at 12.45 P.M. Her crew was completed by the inclusion of four golfers who were all on holiday at their native town of Nevin. The life-boat found the small boat, the Rover, several miles N.E. of Porthdinllaen Point. She was half full of water and had one boy on board, a visitor from Manchester. The life-boat rescued him, and, with the small boat in tow, returned to her station at 1.30 P.M. - Rewards, £3 6s..
