DECEMBER 19TH. - AMBLE, NORTHUMBERLAND.

At 12.45 P.M. the coastguard reported that a fishing boat needed help, and at 1.15 P.M. the motor life-boat Frederick and Emma was launched. A moderate N.E. wind was blowing, and there was a heavy swell. The life-boat stood by at the harbour bar until the fishing coble Treasure, after several attempts, entered the harbour. The life-boat returned to her station at 4.15 P.M.
