The Latvian Steamer Taut Mila

JANUARY 29TH. - GREAT YARMOUTH AND GORLESTON, AND CROMER, NORFOLK.

News was received at Great Yarmouth and Gorleston that an open boat containing sixteen survivors from the Latvian steamer Taut Mila, which had been damaged by enemy action, was drifting a quarter of a mile N.N.E. of the Cross Sand Light-vesscl.

Nothing could be found, and it was later learned that the men had been picked up in Yarmouth Roads. The next day it wasreported at Cromer that the steamer had gone ashore on Walcott Beach, near Barton, and the No. 1 life-boat put out.
