Motor Fishing Cobles
FEBRUARY 23RD. - RUNSWICK, YORKSHIRE.
At 6 A.M. four Staithes motor fishing cobles went out to fish. By 9.30 A.M.
it was blowing a strong gale from the E.N.E., with a heavy sea and rain. At 11.55 A.M. the motor life-boat Robert Patton - TheAlways Ready was launched. She found them six miles out. The gale was then at its worst, and the boats were in great danger, but, escorted by the life-boat, they all reached Staithes Harbour safely. The life-boat returned to her station at 2.15 P.M. - Rewards, £15 6s. 6d.
