JANUARY 4TH. - EASTBOURNE, SUSSEX.

At 8.45 P.M. the coastguard reported that a vessel was ashore off the York Hotel, Eastbourne. A light N.E. wind was blowing, with a moderately rough sea. The motor life-boat Jane Holland was launched at 8.52 P.M. and found the Belgian trawler Georges Edouard, of Ostend, with a crew of twelve aboard. She stood by throughout the night. The trawler refloated next morning, and the life-boat returned to her station at 7.29 A.M. - Rewards, £31 17s. 9d..
