FEBRUARY 9TH. - NEWBURGH, ABERDEENSHIRE.

At 2.20 P .M. news was received from the Collieston coastguard that a vessel appeared to be aground at the mouth of the Ythan. The weather was cold, with a moderate southerly wind and a moderate sea.

The pulling and sailing life-boat John and Robert C. Mercer was launched at 3.30 P.M.

and found the motor vessel Auchmacoy, of Newburgh, ashore. She rescued her crew of six and returned to her station at 4.30 P.M.
