A message from the coastguard reported that an R.A.F. aeroplane had come down in the sea two miles north of the Reculvers, On her way out the life-boat picked up on her wireless the position of the aeroplane which the North Foreland Wireless Station was broadcasting. Three aeroplanes and a minesweeper joined in the search, and it went on for three hours but nothing could be found.

At 5.30 P.M. the life-boat returned to her station. - Rewards, £14 2s..
