A steamer had been bombed and sunk by enemy aircraft, five miles from Muckle Skerry, and one of the ship’s boats with sixteen men on board had been seen off Grimness, South Ronaldshay. The life-boat found nothing, and it was learnt later that the boat had been driven ashore and the men been drowned before the life-boat could reach the place. - Rewards, £23 15s. 6d..
