SEPTEMBER 17TH. - BARRA ISLAND, HEBRIDES. During the night information was received from the postmaster of Northbay that a small rowing boat, with two men aboard, had been caught in a storm in Barra Sound. A strong N.W. gale was blowing, with a very heavy sea. The motor life-boat Lloyd’s was launched at 9 P.M., went to Northbay, where she took on board a pilot, and found that the two men had landed on an island. She took them off and brought them back.
