OCT. 12TH. - CROMER, NORFOLK. - At about 11.10 P.M. the coastguard reported that a vessel was believed to be in distress a mile S.E. of the station. The report was confirmed, and the No. 2 motor life-boat, Harriot Dixon, was launched by tractor at midnight. Rain was falling heavily, and a moderate N.W. wind was blowing, with a moderate sea.
