JULY 10TH. - CAISTER, NORFOLK. At 7 P.M. a yacht was seen to strike the Caister Shoal, near the south end of Caister Beach, knock off, and drift  ashore. A slight northerly breeze was blowing, with a heavy ground swell. The pulling and sailing lifeboat Charles Burton was launched at 7.25 P.M.

She found the yacht Sarah Ann, of Maldon, shipping water, with nobody on board. Her crew of two had swum ashore. The life-boat ran out the Sarah Ann’s anchor and left her in charge of the Great Yarmouth coastguard, returning to her station at 9 P.M.-Rewards, £29 5s.
