Prince
JAN. 16TH. - TORBAY, DEVON. At 6.55 P.M. it was reported that the open motorfishing boat Prince, of Torquay, with three men on board, was overdue on a trip from Torquay to Brixham, and that owing to the poor condition of her engine anxiety was felt for her safety. A moderate south-west gale was blowing, with a rough sea. The motor life-boat George Shee was launched at 7.10 P.M., and helped by the searchlight of a sheltering steamer very quickly found the Prince in the middle of Tor Bay. Her crew were morsing a distress signal. The life-boat towed her to the inner harbour at Brixham, and returned to her station at 7.40 P.M. A letter of thanks was received from the skipper.
