NOV. 25TH. - CLACTON - ON - SEA, ESSEX. At 3.47 P.M. a message was received from the coastguard that the sailing barge Lady Dorothy, of Ipswich, had stranded on the Buxey Sands, a quarter of a mile from the Spitway. A fresh S.W. breeze was blowing, with a moderate sea. At 4.30 P .M. t h e motor life-boat Edward Z. Dresden was mornlaunched.

She stood by unti1 the barge refloated, and then returned to her station at 9 P.M. - Rewards, £19 12s.
