SEPT. 22ND. - THE HUMBER, YORKSHIRE.

At 8.45 P.M. the Royal Naval Shore Signal Station reported that red flares had been seen in an easterly direction. A fresh northerly wind was blowing, with a very rough sea. At 8.48 P.M. the motor life-boat City of Bradford II was launched.

The steam trawler Kopenes, of Grimsby, was found aground on the Middle Binks, with a broken propeller. Signals were made to the shore for a tug, and the life-boat stood by until she arrived. The tug took the trawler in tow, and the life-boat escorted her to safety, returning to her station at 12.40 A.M.
