MAYDAY FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL

Following a fantastic reception last year, the RNLI College's Mayday Food Festival returns to Holes Bay in Poole, Dorset on April 30. The foodie festivities kick off a month of fundraising with our pick of local and artisan delights, delicious samples and live music. There will be fresh food being prepared, so start the day with an al fresco bite next to our training lifeboats on the bay

3 TOP PICKS

1. PERFECT FOR A BBQ
There’s a revolution afoot in pubs across the country; micro breweries are bringing quality ales back
to the fore. Growing local brand, Southbourne Ales, offers eight options for your spring and summer BBQs and the team will be on hand to help you find the perfect pairing.

2. FOOD FOR THOUGHT
From simple beginnings, Guy Watson has built an award-winning organic grocery delivery company. Known for its veg boxes, Riverford now also supplies meat and dairy products, as well as baked goods, drinks and other store cupboard staples straight to your door – giving the big supermarkets a run for their money. There’s never been a better time to make the switch.

3. PERFECT PIZZAS
A favourite from our Christmas markets, The Wood Fired Piadizza Co will be back again for 2017. Cooking pizza in a wood fired oven is hotter and quicker than conventional ovens, keeping the flavours fresh and the crust crisp. This is the godfather of pizzas.
