TRIMARAN UPTURNED

DUNGENESS | 4 APRIL
A man and woman were rescued from the upturned hull of a trimaran by the volunteer crew of RNLI Dungeness. Both casualties were balancing on the slippery surface when the Shannon class lifeboat arrived to find them extremely cold and wet. Because the woman was pregnant, she was airlifted to hospital once crew had brought her safely to the shore. For more on the survivors – and their baby – see page 23.
