NEW QUAY | 10 JULY

A 9-year-old schoolgirl who got trapped under giant rocks at Aberaeron Beach, was freed by New Quay lifeboat crew. The girl, in welly boots, became stuck during a game of hideand- seek. The tide was coming in. Crew Member Tom Evans – a 17-year-old on his first shout – crawled inside the rocks and cut open the welly, enabling her to climb to safety just in time.
