Pumping power

13 February: This catamaran was holed on rocks, and her owner was struggling with the ingress of water with his own pump. Sunderland lifeboat crew were called upon to help, and launched both lifeboats – D class and B class – with pump at the ready. The water level was soon under control, and the lifeboats towed the catamaran to Corporation Quay in Sunderland Port. Port workers used a crane to lift the vessel out of the water for repairs.
