A routine exercise on 10 June between The Lizard lifeboat and a naval helicopter became the real thing the following day.

Both were called to the aid of the fishing vessel Harvester, which had reported an engine room fire and loss of power. A helicopter crew man was winched onboard Harvester to check she was safe, before the Tyne class TheLady Rank went alongside and set up a tow.
