A local club’s sailing session made it a busy Valentine’s day for Aberystwyth lifeboat crew. The B class Spirit of Friendship was launched when a dinghy was seen capsizing several times, with her two-person crew having more and more trouble righting her. After bringing the tired, cold sailors and their boat ashore, the lifeboat went to check on their clubmates. Assured that all was fi ne, Spirit of Friendship returned to harbour, but was out again minutes later when a solo sailor needed help after capsizing.
