Dart, the RNLI’s newest lifeboat station, had its first shout on 24 November 2007.

Relief D class lifeboat Bob Savage and her crew were called out to recover a young man who had been thrown from his speedboat after hitting a submerged object. When the lifeboat arrived, he had been pulled from the water by a local fishing boat. The volunteers brought him ashore and he was taken to hospital, to be treated for hypothermia and neck and leg injuries.
