A friendly and professional Tour Manager accompanies all departures so sit back, relax and enjoy your stay amongst the beautiful lakes and mountains of Switzerland._______ Day 1 ? London to Vevey Your holiday begins the moment we leave London Waterloo by Eurostarfor Paris, and travel to the genteel market town of Vevey enjoying the spectacular vistas of snow-capped mountains, rolling hills and vineyards on the way We spend seven nights at the Astra Hotel Vevey (4 star), just a short walk from Lake Geneva, with its sweeping promenades and pretty flower displays.

Days 2-3 ? Chateau de Chfflon & Gruyeres After a relaxing morning in Vevey, we spend our first afternoon discovering the elegant 13th century Chateau de Chillon, which rises dramatically from the waters of Lake Geneva. In the evening we take the funicular high into the hills for dinner together in 'Le Chalet restaurant, overlooking the town, lake and vineyards.

Our excursion on Day 3 includes the small town of Gruyeres, where you have the opportunity to visit the famous cheese factory, and a wonderful train journey past majestic peaks and valleys on the Golden Panoramic Depress.

Days 4-5 ? Exploring Lake Geneva You have a free day to discover Lake Geneva by rail and lake cruiser, and perhaps visit Lausanne, the 'Olympic capital'. On Day 5 you have a free morning to discover Vevey. In the afternoon we enjoy a leisurely cruise around Lake Geneva on a wonderful vintage paddle steamer, making a stop in the small village of St Gingolph along the way.

Days 6-7 ? Free day & Rochers de Naye Day 6 is free and as it is market day in Vevey, why not spend some time browsing around the colourful stalls? Alternatively explore the pretty lakeside towns and villages such as medieval Yvoire and the fashionable spa resort of Evian-Les-Bains, or perhaps visit the fascinating city of Geneva, just a train ride away. On Day 7 we make the short train ride to Montreux and join the rack-and-pinion mountain railway for the spectacular journey high up above the tree line to the summit of Rochers de Naye. There is an excellent restaurant at the top and on a clear day the views over Lake Geneva are fabulous.

Day 8 ? Vevey to London Our return journey takes us via Lausanne to Paris, where we connect with the Eurostarta London..
