First aid for a doctor Kinghorn in Fife's Atlantic 75 Elizabeth Ann was launched just after 5pm on 20 July 2005 to the help of a doctor who had lost her footing while rock climbing at Hawkcraig Point, Aberdour, and fallen 15m onto a ledge that was 4.5m above sea level. Crew Members Steve Currie and Keith Hay entered the water to help transfer Katie Stein, who had self-diagnosed a broken ankle, aboard the lifeboat. Once onboard the casualty was given oxygen and her ankle dressed with a splint. Afterwards Steve Currie remarked: 'We were all intending to be at the boathouse in any case for our first aid refresher training!'.
