The John Neville Taylor Ceremony

John Neville Taylor The £1.3M Trent class lifeboat was named on Monday, 2 June 2003 in Poole.

The cost of the lifeboat was met by a substantial bequest from the estate of Mr John Taylor and other legacies. Mr Taylor grew up in the area and spent many years collecting funds for the charity whilst working in the Billericay and Basildon branches of the RNLI.

Vice Admiral RR Squires, a member of the Council of the RNLI, accepted the boat on behalf of the organisation and Mrs Frances Bundock, a lifelong friend of MrTaytor, named the boat..
