Marathon lifeboatman Congratulations to Mark Petty- Mayor, crew member of the Southend- on-Sea inshore lifeboat, for taking part in the 1996 London Marathon to raise money for the RNLI.

This was Mark's first marathon, which he ran in an impressive 3 hours and 41 minutes, raising some £700 for Institution funds..
