Coxswain Hewitt Clark

Coxswain Hewitt Clark Silver Medal Coxswain Hewitt Clark and the crew of Lerwick's Arun rescued 67 seamen from a stranded factory ship in appalling weather conditions on 31 October 1994. The lifeboat had to go into a narrow opening between the ship and a rocky shore more than 70 times in total darkness to rescue them. The remainder of the crew were awarded Thanks on Vellum.
