With great regret we record the death of two Life Vice Presidents of the Institution and a noted Honorary Life Governor.

Surgeon Captain F.W.

Baskerville was elected to the Committee of Management in 1964 and was appointed a Vice President in 1974. He became a Life Vice President in 1985.

The Marquis of Normanby was elected to the Committee of Management in 1972. He became a Vice President in 1984 and was elected Life Vice President in 1987.

Captain Hans Hansson was formerly Director and then Chairman of the Swedish Lifeboat Service.

He was made an Honorary Life Governor of the RNLI in 1972..
