It's a Small World
Model lifeboats and their builders raise large sums of money for the RNLI each year, and to further the cause an anonymous donor has provided a perpetual trophy in the name of the RNLI which will be awarded to the best model entered for the Model Engineer Exhibition each year.
The exhibition is one of the largest of its kind in the world and is held in London each January Models eligible for the RNLI Model Lifeboat Trophy include any craft whose main function is the saving of life - which admits lifeboats of all nationalities, air/sea rescue launches and all kinds of rescue boat. Final decisions as to eligibility rest with the chief judge each year.
The trophy was won this year by W.A.
