An engraving by 'WWM', which first appeared in August 1871 showing a paddle steamer towing a lifeboat, went on to appear ten years later as the Ramsgate lifeboat at the wreck of the Indian Chief- an improbable scoop which was repeated in four subsequent issuesl.
