Plymouth's Madonna look-a-like, Caroline Taylor, wax bundled into a cur and driven off at high speed by the baddies. Having transferred to a bout the bad guys and their captive rendezvoused with good guy Lord Mayor Tonv Parish, who was waiting with the "loot" aboard the Plymouth lifeboat according to their ransom demands. The plot was hutched by staff at the city's Cannon cinema to raise money for the City of Plymouth lifeboat appeal and a cheque for £350 was presented to Vice-Admiral Sir Robert Gerken, president and chairman of the appeal. Clive Jones, Cannon manager, is pictured attacking with a brol/v as "Madonna" is kidnapped.
