The Big Plunge: A group of North Devon servicemen took the plunge for charity. Eighteen divers from RAF Chivenor and Locking Sub Aqua Clubs leapt from Barnstaple bridge to raise £600. It took three hours for the men to float four miles down the Taw in the annual 'Chivenor Drift' and they were picked up by the Appledore lifeboat.
