A merry evening was had by all at the Varne Boat Club, Linlestone, in March. The Merrydown Cider Company took along samples of their original wines, wine vinegars and, of course, their famous Vintage Cider. The glazed eyes of the guests were a good indication of how much they had enjoyed the evening, one of whom was Ken Boardman, honorary secretary of Littlestone station, seen here with (I) Sara Welcham, assistant public relations officer for Merrydown, and Jean Walker their public relations officer. New Romney, Romney Marsh and Littlestone branch were delighted with the £122.75 they received as a result of the evening..
