John Batchelor

John Batchelor (above), a member of Mudeford lifeboat crew runs the fresh fish stall on the quayside and has produced a fish cookbook to raise funds for the station. Mr Batchelor retires from active lifeboat duty in four years time and it is his aim to make enough money to buy the station a new lifeboat. Over 5,000 booklets have already been sold and with 25 pence from each sale going to the RNLI, the total amount raised so far exceeds £1,000. The booklet costs £1.20, including postage and packing, and can be obtained from Mr J.
