Royal visit: The Duchess of Kent paid a visit to Wells lifeboat station on October 4 and was shown over the station's two lifeboats by Coxswain David Cox BEM (1) who holds both silver and bronze bravery medals and who has been coxswain for 25 years. The Duchess, whose husband is President of the RNLl, was introduced to Wells lifeboat crew, station officials and local fund raisers. Walking behind Coxswain Cox is station honorary secretarv, David Case and behind him, divisional inspector for the east, Thomas Nutman.
