Subscription rates Shoreline goes from strength to strength; there are 116,000 members at the moment with hundreds of new applications received at RNLI headquarters every month. Inevitably, subscription rates must keep in line with rising costs and therefore this is potential subscribers' last chance to join up at the old rates. As from January 1, 1986, ordinary Shoreline membership will cost a minimum £6 and family membership £9. To become an annual member and governor of the RNLI will cost a minimum £20 and life member and governorship will rise to £200.
