The bowls club of Britannic House, the London headquarters of British Petroleum, held an invitation tournament in August. It was in aid of the RNLI and this photograph shows the players launching their bowls towards the centre of the green at the start of the day. The sum of £213.27 was gratefully received by Lewisham branch as a result of the event.
