Aberystwyth lifeboat flag day, August 6, 1973: when the River Rheidol overflowed its banks, flooding a caravan and camping site, the D class inflatable lifeboat, crewed by Gwyn Martin, the station honorary secretary, and Ralph Kenyon, brought 65 people and three dogs to safety.
