A welcome at Bembridge lifeboat station for Nigel Foster who raised £350 for Bembridge ladies' guild in the London Marathon. The cheque was received by Mrs S. Snelling, guild president. With them are (I to r front centre) Mrs D. Tyndall, guild chairman, and Major- General Sir Robert Pigot, president of the Isle of Wight lifeboat board, and other guild members and friends. More than 50 people ran in the London Marathon for the RNLI, just passing the target set for the lifeboats of £10,000.
