The Welsh Industrial and Maritime Museum at Cardiff Docks held a reception on June 7 to welcome to its ranks the 42ft Watson lifeboat Watkin Williams, on station at Moelfre from 1956 to 1977.

Guest of honour, seen here with Dr J. Geraint Jenkins, curator of the museum (I), is Richard Evans former coxswain of Moelfre who was awarded two gold medals for gallantry for services performed in Watkin Williams: one was to Hindlea in 1959 and the other to Nafsiporos in 1966.
