Torquay Sea Cadet Corps raised £200 in a day with a teddy bear raffle.

Here their chairman, Mr P. Carter, hands over the proceeds to Coxswain Arthur Curnow of Torbay lifeboat. On the left is Captain Barry Anderson, honorary secretary of the station. Another young group of fund raisers helped Torbay lifeboat station when the Third Cockington Brownies earned £100 by cleaning 262 pairs of shoes.
