Martin Milne-Redhead, floating on his back and using only his arms due to a spina bifida handicap, completed 50 lengths of Ilfracombe swimming pool in just over 40 minutes. With this magnificent feat of courage Martin raised the impressive sum of £666.52 in sponsorship for the lifeboats and since the event BBC s 'Blue Peter' programme has awarded him its annual braverv award.
