Children test their speedway skills on mini motor bikes at one of the sideshows at Tynemouth's harbour spectacular that took place on the afternoon and evening of the royal wedding day last July: it was attended by 15,000 people.

Among the many attractions were displays by power boats, sailing dinghies, water skiers, Roval Marines jumping into the river from a helicopter and a thrilling aerobatic helicopter demonstration.
